Practical answers for cellar owners and collectors.
Clear guidance on cellar conditions, service, storage, collection care and project planning.
What temperature should a wine cellar maintain?
LAC uses 55°F as its normal operating target. Stability matters as much as the number, and system or service conditions can cause temporary variation.
How much humidity does a wine cellar need?
LAC describes normal humidity conditions as 50% or higher. Room construction, climate and equipment affect actual conditions.
What should I do if the cellar temperature is rising?
Call 818-764-WINE so the team can prioritize the request. Keep the cellar closed and avoid repeatedly opening the door while conditions are being assessed.
How often should a cooling system be serviced?
The appropriate interval depends on the equipment, room, use and prior service history. LAC can review the system and recommend an interval.
How much cooling does my cellar need?
Room dimensions, glazing, insulation, surrounding temperature and construction affect the requirement. The LAC Cooling Estimator provides a preliminary planning range, followed by professional review.
Does LAC receive wine shipments?
Receiving and inspection are available as part of LAC storage and membership services. Current availability and service details should be confirmed with the team.
Can LAC inventory a collection at a client’s home?
Yes. Collection-management work may be performed at the LAC facility or at a client location, depending on scope and scheduling.
Does LAC work with a specific inventory platform?
LAC can support a client’s established digital collection record. The service is not positioned around one universal inventory platform.
How does a cellar project begin?
The process begins with a conversation and site review, followed by design and proposal, installation and commissioning, and appropriate ongoing maintenance.
Where does LAC provide service?
Liquid Assets Cellars serves Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. Contact the team to confirm service for a specific location.
